A writeup about me has appeared in this month's excellent zine Outsider Ink! Mostly about writing, I wormed my way in somehow!

I've been pondering and painting for my show, and unfortunately neglecting Ebay, where I have only four pieces up currently. However, I'm very excited by what I'm working on now.

Initially, I liked this painting the way it was. But the smug expression on the angel or god seemed to say, breen me, I dare you! So I gave him a pimple. This brought things to bilogical level, and I saw these two as teens, percolating with hormones and phermones. That smug look dominates the painting! Mrs. Breen will sometimes say about this or that guy - "He's very attractive - but he KNOWS it!" Vanity is not just character flaw, but a SIN! But can God sin?
When finished, this painting won't go onto
Ebay, but right into the show - it's pretty big by breenish standards, 36X24", and there is a companion piece that is the same size, same prebreen artist.

It is no secret that I am a fan of the mullet. Now if you have one, don't get pissed off at me about it! There are entire websites dedicated to mocking your hair, such as mulletsgalore. For God sakes, just get it cut! Or don't..Jesus had one after all.

I finally decided on a winner for my breenish bio contest in which the winner got a genuine breen!
Robert, below, gave me something usable in
"Eddie's talent explodes our conservative "cone of vision" and splatters it out onto the frame of the work itself. Art concepts such as proportion, space, perspective, tone and composition are replaced by an unrelenting, unflinching vision, the power of one man's incredible imagination: multiethnic heads, bowling skulls, mousehead ants, the angel police, the quilt beast, mouthless Maureen. Eddie explains: "art can neither be good or bad, only interesting or boring." Eddie is never boring. His art is engaging, thought provoking, righteous, witty, wicked, and singularly unique." That was pretty damn good! I popped it into a press release which is probably being thrown into a trash can at the Boston Globe at this very moment!
I also liked Kathy's string a sentence system, which would have probably won first place, but required effort of a minimal sort.
Kat's description was pretty good, but as I am currently really only on Ebay, her pronouncement that I was "consistently in galleries and exhibitions in prominent art centers" was a lie I wish were true, and no doubt will be true in the future!
Basically, I gave Kathy, Kat, Michael and CatBoy the runner up prizes because they wrote the longest bios, and they should win a stinking T-Shirt for that! You can see all the entries HERE
