This is about 30"X22" acrylic over oil on canvas. This one doesn't show up so well in the photo - it is hard to shoot the highly detailed larger ones. The text says,"Sickness tears through the scientists' cave! God is suspected but no direct evidence is found!
This prebreen looked like a cave when I first spied it - the dramatic lighting effect.

If you've embraced evolution as your religion, as I have, then you must believe that we are all cavemen and women, and that we are dazzled by our science in the fire-light.
The cave-man sits in a chair, having his blood pressure taken. He is sucking on an old fashioned mercury thermometer. A giant rat and flea are in his lap, while Jesus says, "Don't blame me, monkey-hives are hereditary!" Other details - crudely rendered scientific cave art - Greetings from earth art from the Pioneer 10 Spacecraft, Ben Franklin's kite and lightning experiment, A radiation warning logo, evolution of man sequence(final guy is drinking coffee), the eye of God in a salmonella cell, scientists stalking a frog for dissection, binary number key, and a phrenology head.
