Well hell! I'm back on! Ebay said they took off the painting immediately below because of my "social commentary" in the listing. Apparently I'm only supposed to talk about the frame-size, paint used, etc. So I relisted the painting without describing much about it. But it's up! Go to my paintings for sale link to the left if you're interested in making a bid.

BANNED FROM EBAY!!!!

The painting below was banned from Ebay today,

This is the letter they sent me:

Dear E Breen (eddie@eddiebreen.com), eBay appreciates the fact that you chose to list your auction: 1474815592 RESTLESS DREAM ART/ BURQA/ EDDIE BREEN with us. However, we have determined that your item is inappropriate for listing on eBay at this time. Out of respect for the many members of the eBay community personally affected by the tragedy at the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, we are temporarily suspending the trade of Pentagon, World Trade Center and other items related to this tragedy. Therefore, we have ended this auction and all fees have been credited to your account. Please note, eBay will allow positive commemorative items that relate to the September 11, 2001 tragedy, including items that incorporate images of the World Trade Center before the attack, to be sold in support of the Auction for America. Out of consideration for the many victims of this tragedy, eBay will generally not allow items (commemorative or otherwise) that portray any aspect of the World Trade Center or the Pentagon during or after the attack, or any victims of the attack. In addition, domain names referencing the World Trade Center, September 11, 2001 or any other aspect of the attack will not be allowed. September 11, 2001 was a terrible day for the United States and many people in the eBay community. The thoughts of everyone at eBay go out to the victims and their families. IMPORTANT NOTICE: *In accordance with our Offensive Items Policy, all items directly related to this event (crime scene material, propaganda, etc.) will be removed from eBay. *We ask that all listings not supporting Auctions for America not refer to the World Trade Center, the Pentagon or the events of September 11th in the title of your listings. Please check our announcements board at http://www2.ebay.com/aw/marketing. shtml for further updates on this policy. We thank you in advance for your cooperation and understanding. Regards, Brandy Kay (ended@ebay.com) eBay

I never mentioned the world trade center, or the pentagon, or Sept. 11. in the title or text of the Ebay listing. I did translate some Arabic I put up in which I accused Osama Bin Laden of having sex with a sheep.

Question is - did Breen go too far this time? If you feel I have been wrongly censored, please email Brandy Kay at moreinfo@ebay.com or timesensitive@ebay.com and tell them so - it was item 1474815592 RESTLESS DREAM ART/ BURQA/ EDDIE BREEN. I haven't decided if I am now going to keep this one, or sell it through some other auction service. But I can't help painting about current events. I don't do landscapes, no matter how much I'm censored! Regards, Eddie

When I went to Brimfield in September, I found a portrait, which I started to paint on right away, during the car ride home. It was kind of a bumpy ride, and my pointillistic flame face got smudged up. So I absently gave him a cat mouth! The rest kind of flowed from that.
