This work started out as a portrait with poodle hair. I realized right away that I had to create an existential poodle Sphinx. The text asks, "Who lives one's death and dies one's life?" This is Sartre quote I twisted into a question.Sartre is standing next to the Sphinx, as is a chicken riddler holding an egg (which came first?).
