About 26" X 14" acrylic on oil? on canvasboard including painted frame. The frame isn't a perfect fit with an extremely small gap at the bottom.

Mrs. Breen found the original at the Rowley flea market Sunday. Turns out the original is a copy of a Keane titled 'Stray' or stray cat or something like that. I've been thinking about this big eye stuff some - Murray sent me a subscription to Juxtapoz which I read as quickly as possible so as not to become to fixated and influenced - but Ryden kind of seeps in, I like him a lot, lots of twisted big eye stuff.
You know though, looking at this sad eye little girl really made me think of Frida Kahlo and how they were really kind of similar emotionally, except Frida was kind of tough. So I figured if I melded them together it would be kind of cool to have a vulnerable yet tough big eye frida. Her cat has a Frida monkey-face. You have keanish echoes in the diamond harlequin designs throughout the painting as well as kahloesque stabs. I like this one very much.
ON ANOTHER NOTE - I've lost track of where alot of my paintings have ended up due to a fried hard drive. A gentleman in California wants to buy a large number of breenish paintings, and rather than waiting for me to get off my ass and paint them, he may want to buy YOURS!
